Coffee farmer Melese Welde handles his 2.5 hectare estate in Bensa, Sidamo, together with his large family. He has continued farming coffee in his father's footsteps and invests in the development of producing and farming coffee. He has patiently nurtured heirloom coffees (Berebera, Korchi, Wanza and Shola) for many years in order to produce coffee that meets the requirements of a quality export coffee and in order to improve the situation of his family as well as the whole community. Welde has received local recognition for his resilient commitment as well as help from official consultants for his farming.
