The majority of Gunpowder is produced in Zhejiang Province in China.
Dried tea leaves are steamed and rolled into pellets and then dried again. The tea is named after these tightly rolled pellets that resemble grains of gunpowder. Gunpowder tea is also used in Moroccan tea seremonies.
